Cindertail's appearance otherwise isn't too remarkable. While she isn't beautiful, she is far from ugly. Her face is all soft, rounded features, from her round head to her short muzzle to her round amber eyes. Her fur is thick but short, allowing the water to run off easily. The base coat is a nice, clean white color, with light gray layered in patches over top. These mostly cover her back and tail, though one stretches up over her head, around her ears and eyes, and down to partially cover her muzzle.
Really, Cindertail is the kind of cat who fades easily into the background.
» personality: Despite her small stature, if you catch Cindertail on a good day, she makes up for her size with her spitfire attitude. While seemingly laid back, it doesn't take much for her quick tongue to show itself. Serious and straight laced around all but those she's closest to, she takes jokes directed at her expense in stride but leaps to defend her friends and beliefs, though the latter are few, jostled and confused due to the fact that StarClan went silent shortly after her birth. Cautious and slow to trust, Cindertail gives the impression of a very aloof individual with few close friends, though it is rare for her to come straight out and insult someone.
Around close friends, especially her closest friend, Leopardfang, Cindertail seems to transform from a distant, quiet she-cat to fun and chatty. She becomes more comfortable and outgoing around familiar faces. Considering she is almost always in the presence of her good friend, she is more often than not a witty, sarcastic cat to be around. She's much more willing to talk around them, and you'll come to know the Cindertail on the inside, which isn't judgmental or--usually--hateful.
While not excellent or the best at any one skill, Cindertail has a knack for tree climbing, an odd trait for RiverClan cats. She's better at fighting than she is hunting and fishing, though this is likely because she prefers to practice battle training over catching meals, which is a more tedious task.
Overall Cindertail isn't someone cats hate though she can be slow to come to like. Her aloofness tends to steer other off while some are drawn to it.
» background: Born as Cinderkit, for her smokey gray patches, Cindertail was an only kit to a pair of aging parents in their first and only litter. Her mother, Fernheart, and her father, Icefur, were the oldest warriors in the Clan at the time of Cindertail's birth. As a kit, Cinderkit generally spent her time alone away from the couple other kits of the nursery, playing mossball by herself or listening to the elders stories of StarClan and how they'd certainly come back someday. In one such instant, when she was about four moons old, an apprentice named Leopardpaw who was a few moons older than she came and played mossball with her, kindling the flames of a friendship. Before long he was teaching her basic hunting crouches and such, though her kit clumsiness prevented her from being much good at it.
Soon after her apprenticeship, Cindertail's mother retired to the elders den, to be followed shortly after by her father. As an apprentice, though Cinderpaw still kept to herself, she was not as antisocial as she was as a kit. Her friend Leopardpaw was an older apprentice, and their friendship was currently blooming, allowing her to interact with more cats outside of her aloof demeanor and open gateways to new friendships. As she grew and her training progressed, her clumsiness gradually lessened, and she become a fine fighter and decent fisher. Leopardpaw became a warrior, Leopardfang, and their friendship continued to strengthen as he gave her extra training and took fishing trips with her.
At the age of thirteen moons, Cinderpaw received her warrior name of Cindertail, for her oddly short tail. Upon her arrival to the warrior den, Leopardfang helped her make herself a nest next to him--they were quite close by this point, and he new she wasn't comfortable around cats she didn't know especially well. They grew closer and closer, until they were practically inseparable outside of their warrior duties. And though ThunderClan is plotting against them and StarClan has yet to show its face, Cindertail is content.[/ul]
