Welcome, visitor. Welcome to a forest where four Clans reside in constant competition, where loners and rogues struggle on the sidelines, where the strong are outmaneuvered by the weak and the brave make their own way through will alone. Welcome to a forest where StarClan does not speak, and no cat knows the reason for their silence. In a forest where nothing is certain, the only constant is the will of individuals to survive because every breath could be their last.

When the ancestors they vaunted went silent, there was confusion at first. Then there was panic and fear, unrest and blame. Moons passed without a word from the Clans' starry ancestors, and tensions rose until at last a bloodbath at Fourtrees put an end to the Gathering tradition. Thus began a period of silence between all the Clans of the forest—one which continues to stretch on with no end in sight.

Now StarClan has been silent for a full year, and chaos still reigns. ThunderClan and RiverClan are on the verge of war, and conflict within ShadowClan has split the Clan into two factions—the believers and the rebels. No cat hears from WindClan any more, as they keep to themselves and their so-called prophet, worshipping her in lieu of the ancestors who no-longer offer their guidance. As falling leaves herald the leaf-bare that is on its way, no cat knows what the coming moons will hold for the forest's four Clans.

	THE RIVER - 1 Viewing The river that runs through the Clan's territory serves as both a source of prey and protection, separating most of their territory from the other Clans. RiverClan cats traverse it without fear for most of the year, but during the newleaf floods, when the river swells dangerously, even they know better than to dive in. 	TRAINING HOLLOW - 1 Viewing Near the center of RiverClan's territory there lies a shallow dip in the ground, carpeted by soft grass and surrounded by reeds. The hollow is big enough to hold several cats at once, but not much prey can be found here so it usually used for training.	No posts have been made on this board.
	GRAZING FIELDS Most of RiverClan's territory is flat, lush grassland scattered with various flowers and herbs. Mice and shrews can be found here as well, but cats should keep alert when hunting, as twolegs from the nearby farm often lead large, hard-footed animals here to feed on the abundant grass. 	SUNNING COVE Downstream of the twoleg bridge that spans the river is a quiet, reed-filled cove on the same side of the bank that ThunderClan lives on. Although the spot is excellent for catching fish and voles, it's also a favourite place for RiverClanners to sun themselves, where they can keep an eye on their rivals. 	RIVERCLAN GORGE The wide, steep-sided gorge running between RiverClan and WindClan lands makes a very convenient boundary line. The portion of the river that continues to carve out the bottom is riddled with sharp stones, and any cat who manages to avoid them after falling in is usually drowned by the fierce current. 	TWOLEG BRIDGE A broad, flat construction of wood spans the river near the mouth of the gorge, created many seasons ago by twolegs. Traditionally the twoleg bridge has been a safe way to traverse the river and get to Fourtrees when the river runs high. Twolegs don't use it often, but since there hasn't been a Gathering in moons now, neither do cats.	No posts have been made on this board.

RIVERCLAN TERRITORY

RiverClan makes their home in a region of lush meadows and forested thickets traversed by a river. While the cats there do hunt land-dwelling prey, they supplement their diets with fish caught from the river, which typically sees them through even the leanest of moons. The river marks much of their border with both WindClan, where it cuts through the gorge, and ThunderClan, though they share land borders with both Clans as well.
