He is known for his piercing jade green eyes for which he is named(His warrior suffix). He has excellent vision and is extremely observant. His ears are tall and pointed. His hearing is not his strongest sense, but he makes up for that by focusing it whn necessary. His nose is dark pink, outlined with black. His sense of smell is about average, not especially keen. He has a white patch from his mouth to his throat, a flash of white in the night. He has a long thin tail with a black tip. There's a bald nick on the tail from an old fox bite. Long white whiskers sprout from around his nose and above his eyebrows. His paws are white with brown pads that are unusually soft.
» personality:
Lizardeye is an almost silent cat. He is the brains of the family and he is very observant. His brothers would never make a major decision without him. Lizardeye considers all possibilities. He always chooses words carefully. He's quiet, but very sure of himself. He walks with confident steps and his head is held high. He is a "good cat", in terms that he has been loyal to his Clan. The warrior code, he does question it, but keeps it to himself. As for StarClan, he doesn't see how else it would be possible for a leader to have nine lives as opposed to a warrior's single one without the existence of StarClan. He was curious about the supposed disappearance of their warrior ancestors but since he is neither a Medicine Cat nor a leader, he feels that he does not have the resources to solve the problem himself. It's a better use of his time to work on problems in the forest below. Hazelstar's "abolishing belief in StarClan" is of no further concern to him than a natural curiosity for how these events came about.
Despite the tight pact with his brothers, Lizardeye always seems distant. He's not close to any cat in particular, not since Dapplepelt. His eyes are often glazed with cold intensity, as if he looks right through surrounding cats, unless he's angry. Then they're deep and cutting at whoever he looks at.
» background: This will be about the same thing for all of the brothers. Twistedkit, Lizardkit, and Snakekit were all born in the same litter. Snakekit was named for his tail, Lizardkit was named for his fur. But their mother could never explain Twistedkit's name. "It just seemed to fit." she'd reply when asked. The kits, being Newleaf born, suffered little hardship. They were all very rough when playing. And, most importantly, they were all very close.
All three were apprenticed at once. Though their mentors trained them separately, they always came together during freetime or chores. They fended off a fox (a young one) together once. They also fought in Clan battles as one single entity. Lizardpaw the brains, Snakepaw the taunter, and Twistedpaw the muscle, they were unbeatable. This battle plan has withstood the test of time.
When the time came for them to receive their warrior names, they got into their first ever fight. It was over the warrior code, which was hard to believe because they all seemed so dedicated to it. The rest of the Clan never got the details. It was only a few days after the ceremony when they came together again. From that day on they were inseparable. They hunted together, went on patrols together, and fought together.
Lizardeye fell in love with Dapplepelt shortly after becoming a warrior. He'd never seen her too often, because of his brothers, but when he started noticing her, he fell hard. He began avoiding his brothers in order to spend time with her. Snaketail seemed to understand better than Twistedclaw for some reason (hint, hint). She seemed to feel the same for him, so it was only logical that nothing would get in the way. But, Dapplepelt was brave and headstrong. Always quick and reckless in battle. She was killed, but Lizardeye never found out who was responsible. He became very cold and distant after that day. He refused to speak with his brothers about it. And he focused his brains on advancing ShadowClan.
StarClan went "missing" just as the three of them became Warriors. Although Lizardeye was mildly curious, he decided it wasn't worth investigating since he didn't have the resources to. Snaketail was more interested in the social implications of StarClan's absence, the divisions it caused within the Clan and what would happen to the Warrior Code. Twistedclaw gave little thought to StarClan in the first place and was thus unaffected by the change.
As of late, Snaketail has been up to some rather shady business. Late nights out about once a moon, meeting some strange cats. Mostly out of interest in getting a foothold in a possibly growing power, but at the moment it's not too big a deal. He's debating whether or not to approach Hazelstar about it but he wouldn't want to waste his leader's time. Lizardeye insists that what they've stumbled upon could be big, while Twistedclaw is mostly interested in expanding his list of battle moves.
