» personality: Loud-mouthed suits Wirepaw well, as she almost exudes that nature. Her bark is most definitely worse than her bite, but being the only surviving of the litter of two, she wasn’t silenced. If she’s ignored, she’d sooner talk to you even if you bury you head in the sand. So, because of this, Wirepaw wasn’t very well received. Many call her socially inept for she doesn’t, or rather can’t, pick up cues in conversations. This might also attribute to Wirepaw’s apparent agoraphobia. In a crowd, Wirepaw’s more likely to be seen at an edge where the congregation is thin. When cornered or forced into a tight space amongst others, she appears skittish and generally disturbed. Since not many really like to converse with her for her apparent lack of tact, Wirepaw tends to cling to those who do. This causes her to have a great appreciation for those she considers close and seems rather calm and a lot happier. But, Wirepaw doesn’t consider many to be close to her for their general lack of interest in her, which she recognizes as her own fault.
» background: First born in a litter of two, Wirepaw was lucky, whether she knew it or not. They would be their mother’s last and only litter. [---] was 70 moons, along with her mate Stoneclaw, when they decided to have their litter. [---] was one moon along when Stoneclaw went to the last gathering and never came back. In mourning, [---] seemed to lose herself after losing her life-long friend and mate, only exiting the nursery to eat. She gave birth to two kits, one tom and one she-cat. The tom, was a cold gray which resembled his father Stoneclaw, was stillborn. The she-cat on the other hand, was an image of her mother with her father’s wiry whiskers, was weak and sickly. Though idle she was not, squirming at every waking moment desiring her mother’s attention like any kit.
The kit, which [---] named Wirekit, made sure she had her paws full. Wirepaw never stopped moving, mewling, and it seemed to make her stronger. Nasty little wriggler even managed to crawl out of the nursery when [---] was sleeping. Somecat returned her though, to Wirekit’s displeasure, with her intense desire to socialize. It didn’t become long until Wirekit made a routine of escaping the nursery when [---] wasn’t looking. Wirekit just continued to grow with each escapade, ignoring her sickness which she overcame. Wirekit convinced herself that she had beaten the odds, beaten destiny through complete strength of will, and that certainly gave her a confidence boost.
Wirekit wanted to experience everything, talk to everyone, and be happy and cats holding her back only made these grow tenfold with each capture and return to the nursery. And everything she was brought back, she'd tell her mother all she'd done down to the smallest detail, trying to make her happy. Soon, Wirekit was made apprentice and was named Wirepaw. To this day, she still tries to break the bounds.
