» description: sultry black she-cat with green eyes[/ul]
deeper
A slender, dark, beautiful sight, Blackfeather has an extraordinary allure that wiser cats would run from. She is tall and slim with long legs and a thick black pelt, the picture of night time beauty. Of the three in her litter, Blackfeather has the darkest and sleekest pelt, covered head to toe in semi-long, silken fur as black as a night sky and always in polished, immaculate condition. She has inherited her family trait of possessing tremendous beauty, but similarly she has the classic arrogance and proud demeanour shared by the rest of her kin. Her shadowy appearance and imposing stature, coupled with her sultry grin and wickedly purring voice create a very present element of danger about her.
Blackfeather has dark, cool, glass-green eyes which, to those who choose to study her carefully, hold a rather malevolent glint. On the outside, Blackfeather is beautiful. But inside she courts blood-lust and her vicious tongue never takes long to surface. She is somehow simultaneously darkly attractive and and quite unnervingly fearsome. Even her smile cannot completely erase the chilling expression she frequently bears, though she is also a master of manipulation and can school her features to seductive ease. In spite of everything they know about her, some cats find Blackfeather's aura of danger dangerously attractive and feel her sexual appeal.
» personality: venomous, powerful, faithless, dominant, ruthless, sly, violent
Dark, proud and willing to shed as much blood as necessary to achieve her own aims, Blackfeather is a dangerous cat. Raised from birth to follow ideals raised from bad faith, she can be cruel, cutting and poisonous. She is very manipulative and finding the true Blackfeather can be difficult as she is able to switch on a sort of arrogant charm when she sees fit. She is confident, seeming to lack almost all inhibitions and will boredly do whatever she sees necessary to get what she wants, whether it harms others or not. If any other dares to defy her or stand in her way, she may well become violent and vindicative. Like the others in her family, Blackfeather has been raised on the beliefs of pure-blood supremacy and the dominance of ShadowClan over the other Clans, but she is also notoriously faithless when it comes to StarClan. Their silence has been the final nail in the coffin of Blackfeather's belief and she is steadfastly on the side of the revolutionaries.
Only to a select number of cats will Blackfeather show affection, yet she is the sort of cat to become fervently devoted in a short space of time. She has been known to keep strange polar relationships in the past which were far from safe and steady, swinging violently between love and hate. Despite her flaws, however, Blackfeather is certainly unique and to some, attractive. For all her coldness she can be a truly excellent leader and take charge in any situation. Never will she heisitate to do necessary things which other cats may have moral doubts about, and she can raise great emotion in others with barely a word. She never shows fear and is extremely decisive, dominant and intelligent. And should she see fit, she may also be ferociously loyal and enchanting company, but this is rare indeed.
» background:
"call her Blackkit. she will be great."
The firstborn in the litter, Blackfeather was always the most dominant and influential of her siblings. Though she resembled her sister Brightkit the most, the two were very different in nature. Whilst Blackkit showed a sly, aggressive side to herself early in life, Brightkit was softer, kinder and friendlier. Quickly it was established that Blackkit and Darkkit were closest, whilst Brightkit was somewhat distant from them both. As they grew, all three were fed poisonous ideas about blood purity and from birth were taught to hate non-Clanborns and mixed-blood cats by their haughty and lofty parents. Even while in the nursery, Blackkit took these beliefs as her own far more rapidly and far more powerfully than either of her sisters, her vicious streak surfacing early and her tongue becoming quickly venomous.
As they got older, this vindictive aspect to young Blackkit became more evident. She was too clever to get into open fights with the other kits, but behind the scenes she was the dark queen of the nursery, already manipulative and developing the ability to blackmail and deceive others. She was her immutable father's favourite from the beginning as he recognised her intelligence, wiliness and dogged resolve. He, an influential figure in the Clan, managed to arrange for her to become his own apprentice, and as such Blackpaw was trained by her dark and deceptive hero.
"trust no-one. all the world's a traitor here."
As apprentices, Blackpaw developed her dark magnificence under her father's tutelage. She stayed very close to her sister Darkpaw, continuing to encourage her prejudices and passing on their father's wisdom. Meanwhile, their third sister Brightpaw was becoming estranged from them as she did not have the same cold streak as they did. She was disgusted by Blackpaw's corrupting of Darkpaw and had a deeply troubled relationship with their father, who considered her soft. Blackpaw argued with her often, at times even coming to blows with her, and when they reached around ten moons of age they simply began ignoring one another as much as possible. As the end of their apprenticing drew in, it was almost as if the only thing that they shared was blood.
Though the three sisters all resembled one another with their dangerous, dark elegance, their hearts were in different places. Blackpaw was becoming more and more manipulative and deadly, trained by her cut-throat father who demanded excellence, cunning and beauty. Dusktooth always had an eye for beauty and was exceptionally pleased with his three elegant daughters, but Blackpaw was certainly the most favoured. Darkpaw was somewhere in the middle, proud and cool but lacking the black fire Blackpaw had, while Brightpaw was all but estranged from her family.
"you're a fool. I will destroy you."
At 11 moons all three sisters were made warriors. Some suggest it was her father's doing as he had always liked the name, but Blackpaw became Blackfeather, a strange juxtaposition of softness in name against steely character. As a warrior, Blackfeather entered her prime, dominant, daring and to some, fatally attractive. Here her father's total influence over her waned somewhat and she became fully independent, sharing her life only with her sister Darkflower, whom some say is the only cat Blackfeather has ever truly cared for. Blackfeather was somehow alluring to others, even though she was vengeful and sharp-tongued, but to fall for her was a dangerous thing as she almost relished leaving a trail of broken hearts behind her.
As for Brightpool, she edged away from her family so far that she began seeing a young RiverClan tom she had met at one of the last gatherings. Naturally, these things never stay hidden for long and Brightpool was discovered. Dusktooth was furious and disowned his third daughter immediately. Blackfeather too took her turn at delivering retribution. She and her sister fought in a bloody, exhausting battle that ended in a punishing loss for Brightpool, who is scarred forevermore from her sister's claws. Only the intervention of Darkflower prevented her from going any further.
"StarClan is dead. your faith won't save you."
When StarClan ceased to speak to the Clans, Blackfeather's tenous faith in them broke quickly. She, along with her father, though he was less open about it than she, had never been more than a lax follower of StarClan's ways. She followed the Code as far as it was convenient, but ultimately Blackfeather's ways were her own. She did as she pleased and took what she wanted, and her way of life was always swaying on the edge of sacrilege. At the battle at Fourtrees, Blackfeather was present, fighting ferociously and with little honour. She was, in spite of, or perhaps because of, her cruel vindictiveness, an excellent warrior and a valuable fighter to have on side.
When others began to take on the view that StarClan's age was dead and Hazelstar imposed his new regime, Blackfeather was among the first to support them. Yet her father, now aging and more superstitious than she had ever realised, did not, and chose to continue to fear StarClan. So Blackfeather turned on him too. She took her sister's support for granted, assuming Darkflower would always go along with her as ever she had done, and never supposed there might be something more to her younger sister. Yet everything was on the point of change for them all.
